摘　　要：针对国内市场上常见的几种英汉翻译系统，本文主要从系统功能和操作的难易度、译文的忠实度、译文的可懂度及译文的质量等方面进行了一次测评。测评表明，这些翻译系统在翻译质量上存在很大差异，大部分翻译系统在译文输出方面已经比较成熟，而在源语言的分析方面还有很多工作要做。通过测评我们还发现，这些翻译系统在源语言的语义识别方面还不如人意。政府组织。Abstract This thesis is an evaluation report of some of the most popular English Chinese machine translation systems in China. The evaluation was done on such aspects as the systems' multifunctions and levels of difficulty in operating them as well as the quality of translation. Five levels of fidelity and five levels of intelligibility were set up as the criteria for the evaluation of the quality of translation. The evaluation indicates that machine translation systems in China vary greatly in their quality of translation due to the inadequacy of specialized experts,thus making it necessary to establish government organized programs.The evaluation also indicates that for most machine translation systems,the analysis of the source language is inferior to the translation output,and that most machine translation systems are still unsatisfactory in the semantic recognition of words,leaving much work to do for linguists as well as for computer programmers..
