浅谈《红楼梦》中人名的翻译技巧

摘　　要：本文分析了《红楼梦》的两个英译本在人名的翻译过程中所采用的技巧。笔者认为,文化内容的最大限度传达是判断采用何种译法的重要标准,因而汉语字、号的对等英译,人名的音译、意译、拉丁语译都是不同情境下可采用的不同技巧。This paper mainly analyzes the skills adopted in the translation of names i n the two English versions of Dreams o f Red Mansion.The author thinks that t he culture conveyance is an importan t criterion in choosing translating meth-ods.Therefore,under different situations,different skills such as th e equal translation of the Chinese Zi (字),Hao(号),translations of names according to their pronunciations,meanings or t he use of Latin in translation can be adopted.
