高校英语教材存在的问题及改进对策

摘　　要：20世纪 80年代以来 ,内容教学在世界外语教学界越来越受到重视 ,而我国大学外语教学界对此还没有充分的认识 ,在教材方面存在着语言陈旧、内容滞后、不实用、信息量小等问题。今后高校英语教材的改革必须朝实用型、信息型发展 ,教学内容要注意联系学生生活及社会实际。大学的英语教学 ,须从技能教学向内容教学转化。Since 1980s,Content-based instruction,or the use of subject matter for language teaching purposes has been implemented in ESL teaching settings.But China's English teaching society doesn't seem to have paid enough attention to this,for the contents of many of the currently-used English text-books remain outdated and discarded and impractical at least,from which inefficiency of teaching is resulted.Hence suggestions are given to reform this type of texts.
