摘　　要：本文通过对《新世纪汉英大词典》突出词语搭配、标注词性、收词精当而不失全面等特点的具体分析,阐明了这部大词典“读者第一,注重实用,与时俱进,贵在创新”的编纂理念。The present essay is a comment on A New Century Chinese-English Dictionary. It elaborates the compiling features of stressing collocation, adding parts of speech and properly choosing entries and examples. The essay aims to show how the dictionary does its best to be reader-oriented, original, practical and scientific.
