摘  要:本文概述了日记研究在国外教师教育中的运用。通过问卷调查,了解大学英语教师掌握有关教学理论及教师专业发展理论、开展日记研究以及将来是否会进行日记研究等情况,发现结果与预期还有一定的差距。除此之外,作者本人还开展了日记研究,发现日记研究对教学起着较大的作用。说明日记研究作为重要的教学和科研手段,是促进教师自身专业发展,从而提高教学质量的最有效途径之一。本文提倡教师开展日记研究。This paper tries first to review literature on diary study, then analyses the questionnaire designed for gaining insights into how much college English teachers are involved in diary study, Finding the result unsatisfactory, the paper maintains that as one of the most effective ways to teacher education as well as a research tool, diary study should be practiced in teaching. Then, the diary study conducted by the authors is presented, showing that diary study is invaluable to language teachers. The paper then concludes that conducting diary study will enhance language teachers' professional development and make their classes more vivid, more effective, and more beneficial to the students,
