摘　　要：本文首先探讨了国内目前关于词典使用研究领域及方法的一些主要观点，继而对我国许多学英语的学生不够善于使用英语词典（包括单语词典和双语词典）的现象进行描述，并对导致这种现象的主要相关因素作了一些探讨，最后提出了如何提高用户词典使用技能的一些建议和对策。The present paper first centered on some key concepts concerning studies on dictionary use and then proceeded to discuss the major factors conducive to the phenomenon that a great number of Chinese learners of English are poor in one way or another in exploiting dictionaries （both the monolingual and bilingual ones）. It ended with some suggestions on how to help Chinese learners of English strive for a better use of dictionaries.
