摘　　要：Two studies suggest that the human braincontinues to change through the process of evo-lution. The findings conflict with a common be-lief that the brain has evolved about as much as itever will.Scientists say modem humans developedabout two hundred thousand years ago.BruceLahn of the Howard Hughes Medical Instituteand the University of Chicago led the studies.The findings appeared in Science magazine.Scientists looked at changes in two genesrelated to the size of the brain.These two genesdo not work right in people with microcephaly.Two studies suggest that the human brain continues to change through the process of evolution. The findings conflict with a conmlon belief that the brain has evolved about as much as it ever will. Scientists say modem humans developed about two hundred thousand years ago. Bruce Lahn of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and the University of Chicago led the studies. The findings appeared in Science magazine.
