摘  要:为了调查大学英语大班型授课的益处与弊端,从大班型授课与综合课堂效果间的关系,大班型授课与学生听课质量间的关系,大班型授课与教师授课质量间的关系,以及大班型授课与学生期末成绩间的关系等四个角度展开。调查结果显示,大学英语大班型授课有其不利的因素,尤其不适合学习自主性较差的学生。但是,这种新的授课模式有其独到的优势,而且对课堂上培养学生的口语能力以及对学生的期末成绩无根本性的影响。In order to investigate the advantages and disadvantages of College English teaching in large classes, we collect information and data from four angles: the relationship between English teaching in large classes and general class feedbacks, teachers' teaching quality, students' acquisition and students' final-term performances, The result shows that College English teaching in large classes has its disadvantages and is especially unsuitable for students with less initiative. But this new mode has its own unique advantages and has no direct influence on cultivation of students' spoken English and their final-term performances. Therefore, College English teaching in large classes is workable provided we transform the unfavorable conditions into favorable elements.
