摘　　要：所谓直译(literal translation)和意译(free translation)这两个名词,如果没有一定的体系加以制约,就会变得完全没有意义;其实直译反对的并不是意译,意译反对的也不是直译;直译和意译是翻译过程中处理不同情况的主要方法,都是比较好的翻译方法。People always set literal translation against free translation. But in fact , both of them are good means of translation which deal with different situation. In translation, both of them can achieve good effect. They are not completely separate from each other, but can be combined with each other in good translation.
