摘　　要：高职英语教学改革要改变传统的教学方法,提高教学质量,这需要师生双方观念的转变,突出"能力本位",使高职英语教学从单纯的传授知识转为培养学生的综合应用能力。为此,必须要在课型转变、课堂范围转变、考核体系和方法转变等一系列问题上,都进行全面变革。It is necessary to change the English teaching methods in vocational colleges that needs both the teachers and students to change their ideas on English teaching and learning, stressing ＂ability orientation＂ and its teaching approaches in order to improve the teaching quality and develop the students＇ ability for their future career. What should be done at present is to change such aspects as approaches of teaching, scope of the classroom and the system of tests, etc.
