摘　　要：从3个方面论述了提高普通高校青年英语教师的教学技能,即英语语言应用能力、授课能力和自我提高的能力,使青年英语教师成为有扎实的理论和实践为指导的教育实践者。This study discusses how to improve the teaching skill of inexperienced college English teachers. Discussion comprises three aspects, namely the ability of applying English language, the ability of teaching, and the ability of self-improvement. It also narrates the basic expertise of English teachers, and approaches to the teaching-improvement and self- improvement. Armed with these abilities, inexperienced college English teachers can shoulder the responsibility as a knowledge-instructing practitioner.
