摘　　要：成语由于其言简意赅、形式简洁,历来是人们所喜闻乐见的语言材料,大量含有动物寓意的成语更是在人们的语言文化中占据着十分重要的地位。本文拟从直译与意译两方面来谈论英汉两种语言中那些富于形象和比喻的动物成语的翻译问题。Idioms are the language material loved by people because of their conciseness, comprehensiveness and brevity. A large number of idioms of animal morality play an important role in literature and daily communication. This paper makes an analysis of the translation on English and Chinese ididoms of animal morality from two aspects:literal translation and free translation.
