摘　　要：英语教学由于过分强调对西方文化的学习,往往忽视中华民族传统文化及其传统美德的教育,造成了跨文化交际中传统文化教育的缺失。要改善这一状况,就一定要在英语教学中渗透中华民族传统美德的教育,这样既有利于跨文化交际的顺利进行,有利于全面高素质人才的培养,也有利于优秀的民族文化的弘扬。Because of its overemphasis on western culture, English teaching often neglects the role of traditional Chinese cuhure and virtues, which results in the absence of Chinese traditional culture in the intereultual communication. In order to aviod this embarrassment, traditional Chinese virtues education should he introduced into English teaching, which will improve intercultural communication and be beneficial to the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese virtues.
