顺应理论对英汉翻译的解释与启发

摘　　要：由Vers chueren提出并发展的语言“顺应理论”从顺应的角度系统而全面地阐述了人类语言运用的动态过程,为翻译研究提供了一种新的视角。本文将翻译纳入语用学的研究范围,结合翻译实例,从语境关系、结构客体关系两个方面探讨顺应理论对英汉翻译的解释力与启发作用。This paper, from the perspective of adaptation theory, endeavors to reveal the theory＇s enlightenment on E-C translation through its major concepts, i.e. contextual adaptation, including social world, physical world and psychological world; and adaptation of lan guage structure on lexical, syntactical and textual levels. With substantial examples, it could be drawn that translation is indeed a process of constant efforts for translators to make linguistic choices so as to adapt their works to communicative activity.
