摘　　要：从中英诗歌特点着手,运用许渊冲教授"三美论"对杜甫诗歌《闻官军收河南河北》的英译本进行解析,从而揭示"三美论"作为中国古典格律诗英译一般翻译原则的可行性。On the basis of discussions about the main features of English and Chinese metrical poetry, the English version of ＂Recapture of the Regions North and South of the Yellow River＂ is analyzed from the perspective of Xu Yuan - chang＇ s ＂Three Beauties＂ principle, which illustrates the possibility to apply the ＂Three Beauties＂ principle to ancient Chinese metrical poetry translation as a general criterion.
