摘 要:佐哈尔的多元系统论与翻译研究有着密切的关系。以多元系统论这一理论假说为基础,佐哈尔系统论述了翻译文学在多元系统论中的位置,将翻译文学视为文学多元系统中的子系统,提倡客观描述翻译文学在译语文化中的接受与影响,以期有效揭示制约文学翻译的规范与规律。这就最终把翻译研究引向了文化研究的道路,为翻译研究开拓了一个相当广阔的研究领域。本文对此理论的主要特点、影响与局限及其在中国学界的译介情况进行了批评性阐释。Polysystem theory, developed in the 1970s by the Israeli scholar Itamar Even-Zohar, has had a profound influence on translation studies, moving it forward into a less prescriptive observation of translation within its different contexts. The polysystem is conceived as a heterogeneous, hierarchized conglomerate of systems which interact to bring about an ongoing, dynamic process of evolution within the polysystem as a whole. Even-Zohar focuses on the relations between all the systems in the polysystem. He emphasizes that translated literature operates as a system in the way the TL select works for translation and in the way translation norms, behavior and policies are influenced by other co-systems.
