基于师生需求分析的理工院校英语专业课程设置研究——以中国地质大学为例

摘　　要：对学生以及教师的需求调查和分析对课程设置至关重要。通过对中国地质大学(武汉)英语专业160名高年级本科生和14名任课教师在专业技能课、专业选修课、特色方向课程、第二外语等方面的需求进行调查和研究,得出以下结论:理工院校在英语课程设计的过程中应当首先保证专业技能课的开设,同时要兼顾专业选修课的质量和特色方向课程的开设,在满足学生需求的同时保障英语专业人才培养的质量。Needs analysis is quite essential for curriculum design.With 149 English majors and 14 English teachers from China university of Geosciences as the subjects,both students＇ needs and teachers＇ needs for courses were researched and analyzed.The research results show that the universities of science and technology should lay emphasis on promoting language skills first.Meanwhile,both quantity and quality of optional courses must be ensured to improve the quality of English graduates.
