论中医学专业英语班学生汉译英能力的培养

摘　　要：中医专业英语班学生的英语教学目的是为了传播中医和发展中医药事业,需要把培养学生中医英语翻译能力作为教学的重点和终极目标。然而目前中医专业英语教学并不尽如人意,达不到国家对学生翻译能力的要求。结合中医院校的教学特点,以及作者多年来中医专业英语教学实践,文章提出中医学专业英语班英语教学应把重点转移到培养学生中医汉译英能力方面上来;并就中医英语教学中培养学生翻译能力的重要意义和紧迫性进行了探讨。The teaching purpose for students of English class in university of traditional Chinese medicine（TCM） is to spread TCM and develop its cause,hence the key and the ultimate goal for English teaching is to cultivate the ability of English translation of TCM.However,the situation of English teaching nowadays has been less than satisfactory,not meeting the requirement of the government for the students＇ ability in English translation.Based on the teaching characteristics in TCM colleges and according to our teaching experience for years,we put forward the idea that the focus of English teaching in TCM should be seriously shifted to the cultivation of students＇ ability of English translation.And we also explore the important significance and the urgency of cultivating the ability.
