摘　　要：本文简要介绍了通用英语和专门用途英语的特点,分析了作为大学英语后续课程之一的职场英语课程设置的必要性,并通过对学习了职场英语课程的1248名学生进行的定量分析,研究分析职场英语作为大学英语后续课程的必要性和实用性,及学生对职场英语课程教学内容、授课模式、教学手段、考核方式等的需求,以期为我国大学英语后续课程的设置和实施提供参考。This paper briefly introduced the characteristics of general English and English for general purpose,analyzed the necessity of workplace English courses which is one of the follow-up courses of college English,and through the quantitative analysis of 1248 students who have already learned workplace English course,its necessity and practicability and students＇ needs to its teaching contents,teaching mode,teaching method and examination way,etc,were studied so as to provide the reference for implementation of China＇s college English follow-up curriculum.
