形合与意合对比研究及翻译策略

摘　　要：由于东西方文化尤其是哲学理念、思维模式、审美观的不同,英汉语在话语组织方面存在显著差异。形合与意合是各种语言进行话语组织的方式,也是英汉语之间的重要区别。翻译界普遍认为汉语重意合,英语重形合。本文指出唯有用辩证的思维客观、全面地对比研究英汉语形合与意合,才能灵活运用翻译策略,译出自然地道的译文。Differences of discourse structure between English and Chinese lie in the differences of philosophy,thinking mode and aesthetic conception between the Oriental and Occidental culture.Hypotaxis and parataxis,by which languages are organized,are considered to be the prominent distinction between English and Chinese.It is generally assumed that English is featured by hypotaxis and Chinese by parataxis.This paper argues that only by studying hypotaxis and parataxis comparatively from dialectical,objective and comprehensive perspective,can we use translating strategies flexibly so as to generate smooth and idiomatic versions.
