摘　　要：叙事能力(narrative)是一种脱离语境的语言能力,叙事能力体现了儿童发展诸多方面丰富的信息,例如情感、认知、社会和文化发展。欧美国家的学者对儿童的叙事能力已有许多研究,本文综述有关儿童叙事研究的缘起、叙事的定义和特征、叙事功能以及儿童叙事能力的发展研究,以期对汉语儿童叙事能力的研究有所启示。Narrative competence, as a decontextualized language skill, embodies rich messages about aspects of children's development, namely, affection, cognition, social and cultural development. Many researches have been done in this area in Europe and America. This paper makes a brief study on the origin of narrative research, the definition, features and functions of narrative and children's narrative development in hope of providing some enlightenment for the study of Chinese-speaking children's narrative performance.
