摘　　要：我国自上个世纪80年代末以来高等特殊教育规模取得了长足的发展,但教学模式还有待于进一步完善,特别是英语教学还没有一套专门适合残疾大学生的教材。为了尽早建立视障生大学英语教学模式,《视障生大学英语》应运而生。教材是编者从事视障生英语教学实践并在完成多项视障生大学英语省级研究项目的基础上,历时多年编写而成的。教材既有研究成果作基础,亦有教学实践作检验,具有很强的针对性和实用性,填补了国内的空白。China has made a great development in the higher special education field since the late 1980s, but the teaching mode needs to be further improved. Especially, there is no a dedicated textbook for the students with disabilities. In order to set up the teaching mode for the visually impaired students as soon as possible, the Visually Impaired Students＇ College English came into being. The edi- tors of this textbook had plenty of teaching practice, completed a number of visually impaired College English provincial research pro- jects, and have been compiling the textbook for years. Not is the textbook only based on the results of related researches, but also the teaching practice for examination. It is highly pertinence and practical, and filled up a gap in this field.
