摘  要:当前,中国各高等院校的第二课堂活动开展得如火如荼,并取得了显著成效。第二课堂相对于课堂教学而言,内容更加丰富多彩,形式更为灵活多样。事实上,这正是"通才教育"思想的具体体现,其目的是将学生培养成全面发展、能适应社会需求的人。70余年前的西南联合大学(简称西南联大)在这方面做出了典范。"通才教育"的办学理念,不仅体现在西南联大的教学管理上,而且还在第二课堂的社团活动中得到充分展现。它的理论和实践给我们提供了许多有益启示,指导我们在开展第二课堂活动的过程中去贯彻和实施"通才教育"的思想。At present, "the second classroom activities" in various colleges and universities in China are in full swing, which also have achieved remarkable results. Compared with the classroom teaching, they are more colorful and flexible. Actually, this form of education is just the application of general education concept in the university. It aims to develop students'all kinds of abilities and make them adapt to the social needs. In fact, more than seventy years ago, National Southwest Associated University made a model in this respect. The general education concept found expression not only in their management of teaching, but also in its student's community activities. Their theory and practice of this con- cept can bring us many useful enlightenments, which will shed light on our future work to implement the general education concept in the second classroom activities.
