摘　　要：文章对系统功能语法理论用于英美报刊的新闻语篇思维模式进行分析,提出主位推进模式与新闻体裁存在一定联系的假设。运用"主位推进模式",分析了消息、特写和评论三种新闻体裁的交际目的及其在语篇结构中所衍生出的特点,有助于读者把握文章脉络,理清文章思路。Theories of functional grammar are applied in this article to analyze the discourse patterns of British and American newspaper reports.Hypothesis is that there is a connection between thematic progression and news styles.News reporting,feature and opinion are found to have their own particular discourse structures because of their different communicative intentions.This article is expected to help English learners better grasp the discourse patterns while reading British and American newspapers.
