高校外语教师专业素质发展探析

摘　　要：教师是深化国家教育改革的关键要素，高校外语教师的素质关系着外语教育改革的成败。首先探讨了新世纪提高外语教师素质的必要性，然后分析了外语教师素质的内涵，最后提出了自我提高、合作提高和政策支持三条途径，以期促进我国高校外语教师素质的整体发展。Teachers play a key role in the national education reform, and the qualities of tertiary foreign language teachers determine whether the foreign education reform will be successful or not. Thus, the paper first discusses the necessity of improving the qualities of foreign language teachers, and then probes the connotation of their quali- ties, and finally suggests three ways to develop the qualities of tertiary foreign language teachers, namely, self-de- velopment, cooperative development and policy support.
