摘　　要：随着旅游业的不断发展,该行业对导游英语口语水平的要求也在逐年提高。而高职旅游专业学生英语普遍基础比较差,传统的英语口语教学又很难解决这一现状。笔者依据高职旅游英语口语课程的特点,将TBI主题教学模式应用于课堂教学,有效地提高了教学质量,为学生顺利走上工作岗位打下了坚实的基础。With the development of the tourism industry, the demand for the level of tourists＇ English speaking is increased year by year. How- ever most tour guide students in higher vocational college have weak foundation in English speaking, and this situation can not be resolved by tradi- tional English speaking teaching. Based on the feature of this course, the writer applies the TBI theme-based teaching models to the class and im- proves the quality of teaching effectively.
