从功能翻译理论看桂林旅游材料英译的方法

摘　　要：旅游翻译是连结中国悠久历史文化与外国游客之间的一座桥梁。为了促进桂林旅游业的发展，同时也为了传播中国文化，应该充分重视旅游资料的翻译。选取功能翻译理论作为指导，以桂林旅游景点为实例，分析并提出了旅游文本的翻译方法，以期提高桂林旅游文本的翻译水平。Tourism translation is a link between age-old Chinese culture and foreign tourists. To promote the tourism of Guilin, Guangxi Province and disseminate Chinese culture, emphasis should be laid on the translation of tourism materials. Methods of trans- lating these materials are discussed with examples of descriptions of scenic spots in Guilin in light of the functional translation theory in order to better translate the tourism texts of Guilin.
