摘　　要：高职教育以培养学生的职业技能为核心,其课程设置也必须体现职业能力培养的思想。英语作为一门应用性很强的学科,培养的应是高职学生的一项基本职业技能。但是很多高职高专学生进入社会以后,发现他们的实际应用能力,尤其是口头交流能力,与企业人才要求的匹配度并不高,因此,当前高职院校的英语教学重点应放在基于职业能力需求,培养学生的英语口语能力方面。Higher vocational education focuses on the training of students＇ professional ability, so its curriculum should reflect the training of professional ability. Being a subject with strong applicability, English should culti- vate a fundamental career skill in higher vocational education. However, many students have found that their applied ability, especially the verbal communication skill, cannot meet the requirements of enterprises. Therefore, the English teaching in vocational schools should attach great importance to the verbal ability training based on the requirements for professional ability.
