摘　　要：数学是一门关于"量"的科学,是一种具有鲜活生命力的文化现象,凡是出现"量"的地方就少不了用到数学。数学的产生和发展是以"数与形"为主旋律奏响的。数学中蕴涵着丰富的思想方法、观念和精神,数学为人类提供了一种"归纳与演绎相结合"的可靠有效的思维方式,对人类社会发展进步具有深刻的影响。数学教育应站在数学作为现代文明的一个有机组成部分的高度,认识到数学教育的本质是一种素质教育。A science of number,mathematics is seen wherever there are numbers.Combining numbers with their manifestations,mathematics is also a vivid cultural phenomenon,which exhibits so many thoughts,concepts and spirits that it inspires human beings to think both inductively and deductively,and mathematics has thus produced profound impact on human society.To conclude,Mathematical education shall be regarded as an integral part of modern civilization and in essence a kind of quality-oriented education.
