摘　　要：以凯瑟林娜.赖斯基于文本类型的翻译批评理论为基础和框架,就孙致礼和张谷若的翻译理论及二者对《苔丝》的两译本展开对比分析。从文本类型、时代因素和读者接受能力三方面论证,现代全球化语境下在英汉文学翻译中采用异化为主的策略可以使译作在忠实于原作风格的前提下被现代读者接受,其忠实性和读者接受是统一不悖的。This thesis will conduct a comparative study of Sun Zhili and Zhang Guruo and their Chinese versions of Thomas Hardy＇s Tess of the D＇ Urbervilles.Based on the theoretical foundation of Katharina Reiss＇s text typology in her book Translation Criticism——The Potentials and Limitations,the comparison will be done from both the loyalty of the translation versions to the source text and the acceptability of each version.The comparison of the loyalty will focus on the retaining of the original style,which will be sub-divided into two perspectives.While the evaluation of acceptability consists of two aspects,which are times situation and Chinese new reading fashion.
