摘　　要：翻译是语言转换活动,是不同文化之间的交流。汉英两种语言在文化方面存在着较大的差异。为了提高翻译质量,忠实、正确、通顺流畅的再现原文,我们必须在翻译过程中把握文化差异,使用适当的翻译方法。本文分析了中西方主要的文化差异,并对主要差异的处理方法进行了举例说明。Translation is a type of transforming activity between different languages, and it is a kind of communication of different languages. There are the cultural differences between Chinese and English. In order to transfer the cultural information from the source language to the target language faithfully, correctly, and fluently, we have to have a good knowledge of the cultural differences and use proper methods. The writer analyses the cultural differences between Chinese and English, and gives some examples to deal with the cultural differenees between Chinese and English.
