摘 要:19世纪末20世纪初,中国社会出现剧变,中国文化产生转型,中国的数学和数学教育也随之发生了嬗变。中国传统数学曾经长期在世界上领先,在这段时期却落后于西方先进国家约二百年。而又正是从这时起,我国的数学、数学教育从体制、内容到方法都开始向近代化转变,或者说逐步地完成了"西化"的历程。在今天多元文化时代,各种文化交相辉映,交互作用,共同推进,中西文化交流也进入了一个新时期。在这样的社会、文化环境中,我国的数学、数学教育应如何对待传统,如何向前发展,历史能为我们提供哪些经验,值得我们深思。Mathematics and mathematics education changed with the upheaval of the society in China and the transformation of Chinese culture from the end of 19th century to the beginning of 20th. Although the traditional mathematics in China had played a leading role in the world for a long time, it was about two hundred years behind the mathematics in western countries till then. Exactly in this period, mathematics and mathematics education in China were getting greatly development to modernization on content, methodology and system which means gone through the westernization movement. All kinds of cultures are getting development with mutual interactions, and the communications among the eastern cultures and western cultures are moving into a new era. In the context of the current society and culture environment, how to face the tradition and how to get development for mathematics and mathematics education in China are important questions worth of research and exploring.
