摘　　要：美国远程教育学会USDLA于2013年4月在密苏里州圣路易斯市召开了2013年会,会议主题为远程教育:一个开放的新纪元。通过介绍了美国远程教育、远程教育学会及该年会概况,并重点对本次会议内容进行了系统地分析,包括网络课程建设、教师能力与发展、远程教育有效管理、质量保证和远程教育中的相关技术与工具等方面内容,呈现出美国远程教育的未来趋向,并给出启示。以期能够对国内远程教育领域的相关研究提供思路和指导,促进中国远程教育的发展。The United States Distance Learning Association 2013 National Conference was held in April 2013 in St. Louis, Missouri. The theme of the conference is Distance Learning： A New Era of Openness. The paper first introduces the distance learn- ing in America, the United States Distance Learning Association and the USDLA national conference, then analyzes the contents in the conference systematically, involving network course construction, development of teachers＇ competences, effective management, quality assurance and related new technologies in distance education. It shows a trend of the future of American distance education, so that it can provide references for relevant researches on distance education in China to promote its development.
