摘 要:张謇基于救亡图存、富国强民的时代需要,主张教育救国、视教育为国家富强的根本,表现了清末以来鲜明的救亡图存的时代主题。在具体的办学实践中,张謇强调师范生人格的培养和教学实习的重要性,倡导"师范先行"的师范教育独立系统;主张"以实业辅助教育,以教育改良实业"、"凡事必求其适"、"德行必兼艺而重"、"学必期于用,用必适其地"等,形成了以求实业之实用为目的的近代职业教育理论。张謇在一定程度上开创了中国近代民办职业教育、民办师范教育的先河,对中国教育,尤其对江苏地方教育的发展作出了重要的贡献,成为清末民初中国教育史,尤其是江苏地方教育史上影响最为深远的教育家之一。Zhang Jian, to satisfy the need of his times, advocated rescuing and strengthening China by way of education, showing the definite theme of the era since the late Qing Dynasty. In schooling practice, he emphasizes the cultivation of students' characters and the importance of teaching internship, and in favor of priority to normal education as an independent system; he insists on facilitating education with industry, bettering industry with education, and seeking appropriateness for anything, etc., establishing the theory of education with the purpose of industry put into practice; and to some extent, he helps inaugurate a new era in privately-owned vocational education and normal education in China's history. In terms of the above contributions, he is considered one of the most influential educationists especially in Jiangsu Province in the educational history of the late Qing Dynasty.
