摘  要:词汇是学习英语的基础,要想学好英语就要先学好词汇,这就要求老师在英语词汇教学的过程中进行创新,同时还要在教学的过程中注重各地区文化背景的渗透,同时还要掌握多种教学手段,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生打下坚实的英语基础。《牛津初中英语》这套教材有别于其他的英语教材,它以其广泛的词汇量、信息面宽等特点打破了陈旧的知识结构,使这本教材具有学科的融合性和拓展性。本文首先提出了词汇教学对英语学习的重要性,然后对当前英语词汇教学中存在的问题进行分析,并指出了如何进行牛津初中英语词汇教学的有效措施。Vocabulary is the foundation of English learning, so vocabulary should be learned well first in order to learn English well, which requires teachers to make innovation in English vo-cabulary teaching, and besides, they should pay attention to the infiltration of cultural background in various regions, and master various teaching means, so as to stimulate students' interest in learning English and lay a solid foundation for them. The set of textbooks,"Oxford Junior English", is different from other Eng-lish textbooks, as it contains a large vocabulary and wide scope of information, which breaks the old knowledge structure and makes the textbooks integrate and expand into other disciplines. This paper first proposed the importance of vocabulary teaching for English learning, then analyzed the problems existing in the cur-rent English vocabulary teaching, and finally pointed out the ef-fective measures of implementing Oxford junior English vocabu-lary teaching.
