摘　　要：《院长》选择了来自"两种文化"群体的代表人物——文学研究者保尔·杰戈和生物生理学家托马斯·克劳佛德,通过他们各自阵营间的相互对话和心理变化,作者斯诺将其在里德演讲中所表达的主要观点借助文学的手法完美地体现了出来,帮人们尽力凿通阻碍"两种文化"的思想屏障,为人们如何跨越"两种文化"之间的鸿沟指明了方向。The Masters gives a depiction of two parties： a party is mostly composed of literary intellectuals represented by literary reseaches Paul Jago, and a party of scientists represented by biologist Thomas Crawford. Through two parties＇ conversations and psychological changes, Snow＇ s “two cultures” viewpoints are thoroughly manifested by literary means in his novel The Masters, which serves to help people cut through the block of their thoughts to the “two cultures” and give a solution to bridging the gap between the “two cultures” .
