摘　　要：在一门课程的教学过程中引入和运用一种适当的理论作为教学活动的指导,可以使得该课程课堂教学的设计和实施更系统化,教学目的的实现更顺利。跨文化交际作为英语专业必修课程,其目的在于明确文化因素对于跨文化交流的影响并提高跨文化意识和习得成功进行跨文化交流的基本技能。文化图式理论作为文化的背景知识结构,可以用来感知和理解各种文化现象,对该课程的教学实践有指导意义。就文化图式理论的发展及它对跨文化交际课程教学的理论指导和实际应用的必要性与可行性进行研究与思考,可以更好地开展该课程的教学实践。An appropriate theory applied willbetter job done. As a compulsory course forshape the teaching practice better organized and result inEnglish majors, ＂Cross- cultural communications＂ aimsto help the students understand how cultural difference will affect cross - cultural communications, nur-ture cultural awareness and acquire the basic skills of intercultural communication. Cultural schematatheory will be the fight one to guide the teaching practice of such a course since it is applied to activatecultural background knowledge in one＇ s mind and facilitate his/her perception and understanding vari-ous cultural phenomena. Giving a study over the developme nt of cultural schemata theory and expoun-ding the necessity and feasibility of its application to ＂Cross - cultural communication＂ course canmake the teaching practice more smoothly.
