摘　　要：介绍了大规模开放在线课程(MOOC)的概念与发展历史,MOOC是可以被成千上万人利用来在线学习的新教学方式,通过互联网提供MOOC课程的机构有以Coursera和Udacity为代表的商业公司和edX为代表的非营利性机构,现在,许多名校纷纷与MOOC提供商结盟来提供和应用免费的在线课程,MOOC将会给传统大学教育带来巨大的挑战,大学应该准备迎接这种挑战并采取一些积极地行动。The Massive Open Online Courses （MOOC）has been reported.MOOC is a new type of learning mode whichparticipant numbers for an individual course may reach hundreds of thousands.The providers of MOOC courses in theinternet include commercial companies（e.g.Coursera）and non-profit organizations（e.g.edX）.Many universities arenow joining up with MOOC providers to allow free access to courses.MOOC are forming areal educational revolution.Thisrevolution initiates many huge changes in learning,teaching,economics of university and even the whole highereducation.The universities have to face this challenge and take positive action.
