公共英语课程中医学英语词缀附带习得:EGP与ESP的桥梁

摘　　要：通用英语与专门用途英语是大学英语课程体系的两大类别,然而他们之间在教学上却没有任何衔接,这使得学生在学习专门用途英语时困难重重。通过对医科学生的通用英语进行改革,发现:在通用英语课程中适当加入含有专业词缀的泛读内容,可以有效地衔接通用英语与专门用途英语的教学,从而促进学生的专业学习。Although English for General Purpose and English for Specific Purpose are two branches of College English Curriculum, there is no bridging efforts between them, which renders the difficulty in ESP learning for the students. By giving students popular med- ical science texts as extensive reading material in EGP course, students learned medical affixes, which indicates that extensive reading in elementary ESP can serve as an interim link between EGP and ESP.
