摘　　要：文章尝试提出翻译的"意义转换媒介"概念,认为翻译的意义转换媒介是译出语文字符号的义、音或形,意译、音译和形译就是以这些意义转换媒介为依据来区分的。意译、音译和形译三者之间相辅相成、互为补充、不可或缺。This paper attempts to put forward a new concept of meaning conversion medium in translation. It is believed that meaning conversion medium in translation is the meaning, pronunciation and shape of the writing symbols of the source language, and that liberal translation, transliteration and pictographic translation are easily differentiated from each other if they are based on meaning conversion medium. The interrelationship of the three methods of translation is mutually corresponding, complementary and imperative, which is also spelt out in this paper.
