摘  要:西方媒体对中国特色词汇英译时所采用的翻译策略是近年来我国翻译研究中的热门话题,标志着中国英语正在逐渐为国际社会所接受。异化和归化作为两大翻译策略,各有特点,纵观西方媒体对中国的报道,异化更受其青睐。西方媒体使用异化策略来解读中国概念的背后更有着其深刻的动因。It is a hot topic in China of the translation strategy used by Western media in dealing with Chinese culture -loaded words. China English (which is different from Chinese English or Chinglish) has been gradually accepted by the international community. As two major translation strategies, foreignization and domestication, have their distinctive features. By making an overview of Western media reporting China, we might conclude that foreignizaiton strategy is more favored by them. There are deep motives for Western media of using foreignization to interpret China.
