摘  要:全人教育观提倡人与社会双重价值,以培养人格健全、思想独立、发展全面的人才为目标,与人文素质教育在自我提升、和谐人际、社会参与三个方面有共通之处。高职院校英语教师应充分利用英语教学阵地,把人文理念贯穿于各个教学环节和学习过程中,创造学生自主学习、独立思考以及团队合作训练的平台,使学生掌握英语基础知识和交流技巧。The holistic education advocates the dual value of people and society, aimes to cultivate the talents with sound personality, independent thought and comprehensive development, and has the similarities with humanistic quality education in self-improvement, harmonious interpersonal relationship and social participation. English teachers of higher vocational college should make full use of the English teaching positions, put the humanistic concept throughout the whole teaching, the learning process inside and outside classroom, creating the platform for students' autonomous learning, independent thinking and team cooperation training, so that students can pursue higher realm of life while grasping some basic knowledge and skills of English.
