摘　　要：1841年,英国人托马斯·库克组织了一次团体旅游活动,揭开了近代旅游的序幕。据世界旅游组织预测,到2020年,中国将超过其他国家,成为世界上第一大旅游目的国。旅游驱动各地经济的发展;正因为此,全国各地都在扩大对外宣传力度,以吸引外国游客。旅游翻译,作为面对游客的第一个窗口,其质量直接影响着景区的吸引力和魅力。近十年来,中国知网关于旅游翻译的文章和博硕士论文以每年两百多篇的递增趋势增加,已经由2004年的393篇增至2013年的2770篇（截止本文撰写之际，2014年旅游翻译方面的文章数量为1116篇，但由于2014年还未统计到最后一期，故笔者认为未必会影响总的趋势）。Tourism has become a great driving force for Chinese economic development, which brings the flourishing research in tourism translation. Publishing of The Studies of Tourism Translation by Ding Lifu and Cao Jiewang brings much vigor to the research in this area. It consists of three chapters, introducing the theoretical background of tourism translation, the types of errors in it and strate- gies to improve the current situation respectively. This book has a solid theoretical foundation, compl^ehensive analysis of the errors and puts forward feasible methods to make a difference. Besides, this book puts tourism translation in an integrated system, providing a new perspective for researchers to make further improvement.
