摘　　要：英语隐性事件类名词词组是英语语言中的一种常见书面表达方式。如何理解和翻译该类词组有一定的难度。提出英语事件类名词词组的概念,探讨英语事件类名词词组的构成,并从对比的角度运用词语的语义关系特征和语境分析讨探讨隐性事件类词组的理解与翻译方法。English implicit event noun phrases are one of common writing expressions.Understanding and translating such noun phrases presents an obvious challenge.The present paper attempts to develop the concept of English event noun phrases,discusses the structure of English implicit event noun phrases,and analyses the semantic relation features and contexts to the understanding and translating of such noun phrases by contrasting English with Chinese.
