高职职业英语教学模式初探

摘　　要：高职课程教学应以能力培养为核心,以促进就业为目标。高职院校英语课程教学要改变"大而全"和"假大空"的教学模式,将职业能力培养与语言知识教学有机结合,以职业岗位需求为出发点,改革高职公共英语教学模式,实现公共英语向职业英语转变,不断提升人才培养质量,积极推动现代服务业健康发展。It is known to all that the teaching should be job- oriented and based on capability training in higher vocational colleges. Such a feature determines that the conventional teaching model for public English course should be replaced by a revolutionized one integrating professional capability training and linguistic knowledge teaching in these schools. It indicates that present public English course should be transformed into an ESP course with an aim to meet the demands of various jobs. Only by adopting such a model can these colleges improve the quality of the students to promote the development of modern service industries.
