摘　　要：旅游文本翻译作为一种跨文化交际活动,文化缺省是普遍存在的问题。从跨文化角度出发,对旅游文本英译中的文化缺省现象进行分析和探讨,并提出诸如增补信息、删减法、音译加注释、文化释义、改写等必要的方法进行文化补偿。译者需要谨慎地对待原文本中的文化缺省,采取适当的策略对其进行文化补偿,架起原文作者和目标语读者之间沟通的桥梁,从而再现原文本的文化价值和艺术效果。Cultural default as a common problem exists in tourist texts translation. From the perspective of cross-culture, this thesis has proposed some cultural compensation strategies , namely, amplification, omission, transliteration with explanation, cultural paraphrasing and adaptation. Translators should be cautious about the cuhural default in the source text and adopt appropriate strategies of compensation, taking the responsibility of bridging between the source-language writer and target-language readers, for the purpose of representing the cuhural values and artistic effects.
