摘 要:本文通过对83名高校外语教师的问卷调查和半结构式访谈考察教师对学习者自主的认识和看法。结果显示(1)教师普遍认同学习者自主相关理念,但对学习者决策权认可度较低;(2)教师认同学习者自主中教师的作用,但对教师干预程度以及教师引导作用等看法存在分歧;(3)教师对学生参与教学决策的看法和做法存在显著差异;(4)教师普遍认为学生自主学习能力较弱,学习者是影响自主程度最为重要的因素。本文指出要提高学习者自主,教师应增强学习者自主信念反思意识,合理归因影响学习者自主因素,并在教学中加强"赋权"意识。This study aims to investigate teachers' beliefs on learner autonomy by exploring what learner autonomy means to 83 university foreign language teachers via questionnaires and semistructured interviews. The results showthat( 1) the teachers generally accept theoretical understandings on learner autonomy,but they do not give a strong support for students' engagement in decision making.( 2) Teachers' functions on promoting learner autonomy are widely accepted,however,different positions are found on the degree of teachers' involvement and howto give guidance in promoting learner autonomy.( 3) A significant difference is discovered between teachers' beliefs and actual implementation of students' engagement in decision-making.( 4) The teachers concur that students' autonomous learning ability is generally poor and learners are believed to be the crucial factor affecting learner autonomy. It is argued that to promote learner autonomy teachers should re-examine their beliefs on learner autonomy,reasonably attribute factors that influence learner autonomy,and raise their awareness of learner empowerment.
