从“文化传播”视角看云南民族菜名的英文翻译

摘　　要：饮食文化是中华文化的重要组成部分,而中式菜名中蕴含着丰富的历史文化信息,因此中式菜名的英文翻译有助于中华文化的传播。云南作为一个多民族的边疆省份,其秀丽的风景和颇具特色的民族文化吸引着众多的国际游客。对云南民族菜名的英文翻译进行研究有助于推动云南民族文化的对外传播和推广。本文从"文化传播"的视觉分析了云南民族菜名的特点及其翻译过程中应遵循的基本原则,提出了翻译菜名的基本方法,以期为中式菜名的英译和云南饮食文化的研究提供参考。Diet Culture is an important part of Chinese culture and Chinese dish names contain rich cultural information, therefore, translation of Chinese dishes helps to spread Chinese culture. Yunnan, as a frontier province with multi - ethnics, its beautiful scenery and unique folk culture attract many tourists abroad. English translation of Yunnan ethnic dish names will promote the spread of the ethnic cultures. By analyzing the characteristics of Yunnan ethnic dishes and the basic principles being followed in translation, some strategies for dish translating are put forward under the guidance of cultural transmission, thereby pro- vides reference for Chinese dishes translation and research on Yunnan diet culture.
