摘 要:典籍是承载一个文化体系主要特征的显性符码,而典籍翻译则是一种显明的跨文化阐释行为。在儒经英译过程中,辜鸿铭构建了一条"归化性文化阐释"和"补偿性文化阐释"互相作用的文化阐释路径。辜译儒经通过归化性文化阐释,实现了朝向西方性和现代性的双重跨越。通过补偿性文化阐释,以核心概念词特殊英译形式和副文本阐释的方式,形成了一种指向儒家文化乃至中华文明本质的整体表达。辜译儒经的成功经验,对当前中华文化对外输出提供了有益启示,只有在对传统典籍进行归化性文化阐释的同时,保持典籍文本的整体性意涵,才能有效推进中华文化的海外传播。Classics are the visible codes which bear the main feature of a cultural system, and translating classics is a noticeable ac-tion of cross - cultural interpreting. In the process of translating Confucian Classics, Gu Hongming has constructed a way of interrelated cultural interpreting which includes “domestic cross - cultural interpreting” and “ supplementary cross - cultural interpreting”. Through domestic cross - cultural interpreting, Gu,s translation has realized a double - crossing orientating at West and modernity, whereas supplementary cross - cultural interpreting, by way of special translation of the key concept and para - text, has made his translation an integrated expression towards Confucian culture and even Chinese civilization in nature. Gu, s special interpreting of Confucian Classics has also shed light on promoting Chinese culture toward the world today. Only through domestic cross - cultural interpreting and main-taining the integrated idea of the Classics at the same time can we promote Chinese culture towards the world effectively.
