摘 要:语言教材编写是为了培养学生的语言能力,但当前我国大学英语教材在语言能力培养方面还存在一些问题:以主题模式为主,语言知识、技能不成系统;练习设计不利于语言能力提高。针对这些问题,本文探讨3套国外教材在解决这些问题方面的做法,以期为我国下一步的教材研究和编写提供参考。在系统性方面,国外教材目标要求明确具体;综合交织各项技能,体现语言整体观;注重技能和能力的系统性。内容和练习设计的科学性方面,国外教材注重个性化学习策略的培养,尊重个体差异;注重词块教学;注重思辨能力的培养。Language textbooks are compiled to cultivate students' language competence. Problems pertaining to language competence cultivation in current Chinese college English textbooks include : the prevalence of the theme-based model leads to insystematicity of language knowledge and skills; exercise designs fail to best facilitate language competence development. With examples from three overseas textbooks, the paper investigates practices therein that are worth of our reference. In terms of systematicity, they set clear and specific objectives, systematize the language knowledge and skills, and integrate language skills under a holistic view of language. In terms of scientificity of content and exercise designs, theyare featured with trainingpersonalized learning strategieswith respect for individual differences, lexical chunk teaching and training critical thinking skills. The paper is expected to offer valuable reference for future textbook research and compiling in China.
